Elements of AI is a free online course for everyone. The course, organised by Reaktor and the University of Helsinki, will now start to disseminate basic information on AI in Sweden. Mika Lintilä, Minister of Economic Affairs, challenged the Swedish to be as active as the Finns in educating themselves on artificial intelligence.

Sweden is the first foreign country to have its own version of the course. The objective of the campaign is to teach one per cent of Sweden’s population the basic concepts of AI.

In a press release published by the University of Helsinki, Associate Professor Teemu Roos says:
“Our biggest dream is to cooperate with other countries in the world and train one per cent of the world’s entire population. I’ll admit it is an absurd goal, but why not go for it?”
