Finland has published its views on digitalisation as a key priority for sustainable growth in the EU in 2019-2024. Digitalisation is a key factor in the EU’s success in the global economy.
The EU needs a holistic approach to digitalisation as an integral part of the EU Single Market. In the rapidly progressing digital era, strengthening the digital economy is crucial for sustainable growth and security in the EU. The EU should raise its level of ambition in digitalisation and aim to become a global leader in the digital economy.
These views have been expressed in a non-paper written by the Finnish Government and a number of ministries.
